Poison- poisoning via some sort of hex or venom. Cast most often by Dark Magic, poison steadily depletes a unit's health by small amounts until it is cured or the battle ends.
Burn- a burn is a painful wound that halves a foe's defense against attacks. Commonly inflicted by Fire magic, burns do not heal unless cured or until the battle ends.
Blindness- completely derails a foe's sense of sight. Commonly inflicted by Light magic, Blindness causes a foe to miss their strike on the next post, allowing a unit to get in a second hit scot-free.
Paralysis- inability to move. Those suffering from it become physically incapacitated for three posts, but the sufferer can still cast magic or use items under this condition.
Possession- being charmed by another. Possessed foes will fight against their allies under mind control that lasts for two posts, turning them into enemy units for that stretch of time. They will obey the words of whoever cast the spell.
